When I was 12, I started at a new school. I was thrilled to learn they had a student newspaper, and even more thrilled to land the not-at-all-hotly-contested role of managing editor. Just the word editor felt like magic to me.

Today, Taisha interviews Tara Sylvestre.
Tara has been editing professionally for four years and has been a member of Editors BC for six years. She lives in Revelstoke, BC, where she is well known for throwing an annual fancy-dress Christmas party in her 114-year-old heritage home. Tara says that with all the guests in evening gowns, high heels, suits, and tuxedos; music pouring out of the old windows; and huge snowflakes falling all around, it feels like being inside a snow globe. She will miss that party very much this year.

Błażej (pronounced “Bwa.sey“) resides in Kamloops, BC, and owns B+ Editing Services. He has been an Editors BC member since 2017. Błażej sits on Editors Canada’s training and development committee, assisting with the webinar program. He was the July 2019 volunteer of the month.
