Would you like to be published for your insight into topics relevant and interesting to editors? Well, here’s your opportunity to do so! Maggie Clark, the new managing editor of Editors BC’s blog, West Coast Editor, invites you to contribute your writing to our new site.
West Coast Editor publishes event and book reviews; member interviews; articles about editing specialties, tasks, and business practices; and more. Posts are typically 300–600 words long.
While sharing your insight into these topics, you will have plenty of opportunities to get involved with Editors BC:
● Share what you’ve learned from Editors BC’s monthly meetings and professional development seminars with other members.
● Interview members to learn about and from them.
● Provide members with your insight into editing specialties, tasks, and business practices.
If contributing to West Coast Editor and getting involved with Editors BC interest you, contact Maggie at westcoasteditor@editors.ca.
A fan of communication, Maggie has been studying it for five years. She has earned a Bachelor of Arts in Professional Communication from Royal Roads University and a Professional Writing Diploma from Douglas College. Not satisfied with her studying yet, Maggie is also learning from SFU’s Editing Certificate program. She is excited to put her education to good use as the managing editor for West Coast Editor. She looks forward to working with other members and giving them blog posts to contemplate.
