Volunteers needed!

Editors BC will be participating in Word Vancouver again this year. We need several volunteers to help staff the booth on Sunday, September 27, at the Vancouver Public Library downtown. If you are willing to spend two to four hours at the booth, please respond to alexandrabogdanovic@yahoo.com.

This is a great opportunity to meet fellow editors and potential clients, have some fun, and check out Word Vancouver. No experience is necessary; the main activities are distributing printed information about Editors Canada/Editors BC and answering questions from Word attendees. New members are encouraged to participate and will be paired with more experienced editors, if possible. We try to have two people staffing the booth at all times.

Of special note, Editors BC will be giving a presentation entitled “Life as an editor: exploring the many faces of editing” as part of Word Talks (Vancouver Public Library downtown), at 1:20 pm on Sunday, September 27. Five of your fellow editors will be on the panel, and we encourage you to show your support by attending.
